Anyone used these ICE reverse cameras?

Hi Everyone,

I am a bit of BMW bigot and was planning on an X3, until I saw the Evoque. Wow, what a car. A quick test drive and I am now awaiting delivery of a Prestige TD4 in Buckingham Blue without the tech pack.

I would really like the reverse camera but being in a hurry and scoring a good deal on a demo, I bought without. After lurking around here for the last few days, I contacted the ICE people and they have pointed me to these 2 units.

Has anyone had this done in Sydney? What was the result. It looks like the camera is similar to the genuine item and the video appears on the existing screen.

Regards

David

Can u ask the cost for each camera? I was doing the same and the dealer quoted $1700 for aftermarket camera so I passed on that car and placed an order for a built car with the camera.

RE: Anyone used these ICE reverse cameras?

According to their website the camera is $129 and the unit is $499. I aksed them about approx fit costs but they just referred me back to their resellers.

So if it is $90 an hour for an installer, then I guess 8 hour install would make it comparable to what the dealer has quoted you. Likely they are using the same stuff. Smile

Its rather expensive just for a camera. You do have the rear sensors to rely on.
