Another colour coding question.

Hi.

While at the dealers today discussing with the bodyshop painting our Style 6 alloys as Style 7s, the guy from the body shop said they're keen to colour code the matt black arches on a Dynamic, gloss black to match the grill, vents etc.

The company, JRM Coachworks, did the Firenze Red in Pentland's showroom in this thread -

Any thoughts on how gloss black arches would look greatly appreciated.

Dynamic Coupe SD4 manual, Orkney Grey, Panoramic Roof, Privacy Glass & 20" Chrome Shadow Alloys.

Other drives - Suzuki Jimny - lifted 2 " (Offroad toy)
BMW Mini John Cooper Works.

RE: Another colour coding question.

Mine are just about there after the paint protection was applied! Not sure if they wouldn't be a bit OTT on an OG car though, it's a fairly understated colour (i.e. it isn't as "in your face" as Fuji or Firenze or Colima) might be better to leave them as the factory intended. They are quite a smooth shark skin finish anyway so you could always apply some Back to Black/ Armorall in an out of sight corner somewhere to see before taking the plunge

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

I was just thinking about this & recon the arch trims & lower corners on the front bumper on a Dynamic would look good in gloss black to match! I may think about this, what do others think?

Yeah I was thinking the same, originally I thought the same as the body colour but now think black would be better - gloss black makes them much easier to clean as I used to hate using back 2 black every time you wash the car.

Apparently Gtechniq have some treatment for the black plastic so am gonna see how that works first as gonna have mine detailed and treated with C1 when I pick it up next week!! (sorry just had to drop that in Very Happy)

Have you used anything like that Valeter?

Firenze Dynamic Si4, Pano roof, Verve, Ebony headliner, Black Strata, Privacy glass, Lux Pack - Enjoying since 7/3/12
