After Market Rims

Not sure what everyones take on after market wheels are, but i see the Evoque as ripe for some nice after market rims.

Considering the the following options in the new year when mine arives as it only comes with the 18" version. Not going to crazy just to a 20".

Overfinch Olympus in Graphite (if they come in right size and fitment):

This will to be go on a 5 door pure in sumatra black. What is everyone else thoughts on this.

RE: After Market Rims

Comes only as a 22" wheel, also I think you may have to wait a little longer for Overfinch's Evoque sized wheels - they are still working on their Evoque GTS. Also there is the small problem that FFRR and RRS/D4 don't fit on the Freelander2 hubs the Evoque runs on

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

Need to be careful with aftermarket rims...I had some on my FFRR and I suffered from slight steering wheel shake...not a big problem but really annoying. Two dealers tried to get rid if the shake but both said it is a common problem with aftermarket (altho couldn't explain why, so might be tripe!)

Thats sounds like a buckled wheel (or slightly out of shape), either cheap wheels or have been damaged at some point.

I am very aware that i want the wheels to be similar in weight or lighter than standard as not to affect unsprung mass too much. as same hub as freelander 2, might look into a set of Kahn RSCs in a 20" thing that would set of a black evoque nicely. mindy you got to wait 5 months for it to arrive.

Gib speak to Kahn as they have wheels in 19ins and 20ins. Wheel only or with the tyres to fit Evoque. Kahn sales 01274 749 999.

RE: After Market Rims

For once, i think im gonna leave a car with standard rims! The style 6/7's suit the car so well. The only thing i might do is spray them black after they need refurbing at some point during ownership.
