Actually an Ikea kitchen fitter - or rather two of them. I'm having a new Ikea fitted kitchen fitted today, 2 guys in mobile workshop appeared at 8:30 this morning (was told they would be here by 9 and I am a long hike from their base). By 10am they had completely removed 18 old units, washing machine, cooker and fridge and all the old tiling.
Now approaching 14:50 and 75% of the new units are built and installed - this is in a 12ft x 12ft kitchen so not the largest by they aren't half motoring and doing a great neat tidy job and tomorrow they finish and take the old units away.................... The power of Ikea is amazing, at 9am they found one unit carcass was not delivered with the rest of the kitchen, they get on their phone and a special courier service delivers a floor mount 400mm drawer unit at 1pm. Tomorrow electrician comes to install and commission the new built under combination microwave/grill/fan oven, fridge, deepfreeze and hob and put my nice Miele washer dryer back in. Then I have to wait with temporary work tops with sink unit and drainer while the stone one is made to measure in Germany.

I've been in the UK 12 years, owned a BMW 335i and Z4M, drove them 'spiritedly' from time to time and never had a speeding fine!

Well, today I reckon I have earned myself a fine and some points in my Evoque...

Returning from the shops, driving slowly towards a well-known Gatso and a see a bin truck doing its thing directly ahead and just past the camera. I get to the camera but I'm now focussing on overtaking the stationary truck...a long stream of cars on the other side coming towards me so what do I do? I launch myself, foot flat to the floor into the oncoming lane to beat the cars ahead...and do so comfortably...but then realise I did this manoeuvre right in front of the Gatso!

Ah well, had to be caught at some point I guess.

Thought I'd catch your attention. And No, it hasn't happened yet!

The news on the budget was depressing enough to find out that the fuel cost was rising by £3.02 by August. The economy of the country was doomed! And then there was an article in the Telegraph:
Budget 2012: struggle continues while factory makes Range Rovers for the rich...blah, blah, blah..

In conclusion, I cannot afford the Evoque in the long term, so .... What do I do to finance my life's little pleasure? Rob a bank!
So, there I was watching Fast Five on Sky TV, and thought, what was the perfect get away car for a bank job. Isn't the Evoque the perfect car???
Reading the rest of the threads, it makes perfect sense....
For a start, Fuji White would be the best colour choice, as there are lots around to be traced..., Privacy glass to hide the stash in the back seats.....Blind spot monitoring system ( useful in overtaking)....Tyre pressure monitoring system ( incase there is a puncture during the raid).....

I'm abroad, can't sleep, jet lagged, bored etc, so I've been thinking what cars I'll get when (if) I win the 166million tonight!
My list would be as follows:
1. Bentley Mulsanne
2. Range Rover Autobiography Limited
3. Aston Martin Virage
4. I'd keep the Evoque coming!!!
5. New Defender replacement (when it's released)
6. Lambo (got to have one)

I've already got my dream Triumph Stag, but other classics I would get are:
1. Original E Type (but modernised)
2. Triumph TR6
3. Mini Cooper S (original ... not BMW)
4. TVR Cerbera

I've limited my list to 6 + 4 classics, although there are dozens of cars I crave.
I've never been keen on owning Ferraris, Porsches, BMWs, Mercedes, etc etc. Although they are special in their own way, I'm just a sort of British car fan!

Not a great fan of American cars either, but if pushed, I'd have a 1968 Mustang Fastback, a new Shelby Mustang GT500 or a new Corvette Z06.
I'd also hunt down a 1971 Pontiac Firebird Trans-Am 455 HO that I used to own when I was a boy. Loved the car but it did 7mpg!!! (TLY 14M if anyone knows its whereabouts, let me know.)

Thinking about it more, I'd probably order another Evoque. A Dynamic Coupe in Fuji with 18" wheels with MTRs and all done up for off-roading - awesome.

In fact the more I think about it the more cars I'd like to have. However I think for the purposes of this thread and Forum, I'll limit my choices to the listed 6 + 4 above.

Over to you.
