Tried to loosen the nuts but I am not sure whether they are captive? there is no way of finding the bolt head in the boot without ripping out the preformed sound proofing as far I can see.
Are the retaining nuts for the heat shield captive?

I looked under the glove box behind the 3-clip plastic panel to no avail as well as the well next to the main battery under the hood. The dash message I'm getting is, "battery low start engine" as soon as I get in or right after turning off. It does have the start stop gas saving feature at a red light. It starts right up but do have to keep it running to open the rear hatch. My OEM battery is only 3 years old and did 16k around town miles, no mods, temperature-controlled garage kept.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Plugged in the CTek biy only 3 lights came on the charge indicator (i had been running the engine to pump up tyres) normally 4 lights come on immediately. After a few minutes no change and the comfort connector began to get warm so I checked connections etc, the actual Ctek was getting warm also. this does not happen when I have it plugged into the Series 2 permanently.

Does this mean the battery is dying?
Can I change the battery myself without having means to reset electrical or is it a dealer?

I was changing my oil the other day, as I have done so many times before. This time, in the cold, the plastic "J-Hook" that supports the lower radiator hose snapped. I am trying to find a part number or purchase location. My dealer is having a problem finding the part. I have attached a photo of the plastic hook. The red was sketched in to show the overall shape of the hook behind the hose. This is from a 2013 Range Rover Evoque.
Thanks in advance,
The rear left seatbelt buckle won’t latch when the seatbelt is inserted. Checking the car I found hundreds of little plastic beads under the seat and I believe when these were spilt one or more may have gone inside the buckle.
Can you get access to the buckle internals? I note 2 security torx screws on the cover.
Also any info on replacing if not serviceable? This one is a pain as the buckle mount is also the anchor for the centre strap.

Hi all, can any one help me please?

I've come from a FL2 to a 2016 Evoque with a Ignium engine. I am struggling to find any information about servicing. My FL2 was simple, it had a service book and an A and B service. I bought the Evoque last year and the garage gave the car a full service to manufactures spec as the car was 4 years old and the service message was on.

Is the service requirement for a 2016 Evoque 2 yearly or is there supposed to be a minor service in between? My car will be 5 years old next month so i am unsure if the car needs a service or not.

Can anyone help as i am total baffled by the service requirements?

Thanks everyone.

Hi all.

I need a bit of info regarding servicing intervals and what’s needed. I’ve checked my owners manual and service book but I can’t seem to find the detail.

I have a 13 plate 2.2 Diesel with 60,000 miles on the clock. The last service at land rover was the ‘80000 miles 60 month service’ in 2018. I bought the car in 2019 with 49,000 miles on it at which point it also had a service (not Land Rover). There’s no service indicator showing but I feel like it should be having one soon.

I’m struggling to find any info on what needs to be done or should have been done for a car of this age and what has already been done. I’ve heard people mention timing belts, haldex etc.

If you can please point me in the right direction it would be appreciated.

So, I've been slowly changing my pure into a dynamic and have just changed over the front bumper. Whilst doing so I changed the original corroded front parking sensors for a new set of aftermarket ones. These work fine but only when the engine is first turned on and then once the car is moved or has been on a while they stop working. Once the engine has been turned off for a while it repeats and comes on until the car is moved or has been on.

To rule out a faulty sensor I replaced with another four and it does the same thing.

I am being told that the car doesn't like the aftermarket sensors but seems a little strange as that two separate sets are doing the same thing.

Are they meant to be reset somehow?

I'm in need of some honest feedback.
I am about to purchase a 2016 TD4 180 HSE (MY17 build - build date 08/16).
This vehicle is now out of warranty, but only has 22k km (13.5k miles) on it. So in theory it is still pretty new but I have concerns about issues that have not yet manifested for which I will be up for when it does appear.
Does anyone with an HSE has had any of the issues mentioned below and if so, was this covered under warranty?
Thanks in advance for taking time to give me a reply.

Fuel leak
A fuel leak could occur from the fuel rail in the engine bay of some examples made from 5 May 2016 to 31 January 2018. Find out from a Land Rover dealer if yours is affected because it'll need to have a new fuel rail fitted to solve this issue.

Electrical short circuit
There have been two recalls for the Evoque that relate to a damaged electrical wiring harness that can lead to a short circuit. The first applies to Evoques manufactured between 9 July 2015 and 16 October 2015, and the second is for cars fitted with a 2.0-litre fitted with an automatic gearbox and built from 4 July to 10 October 2016. Check with a dealer if you think your car is affected by this because it'll need to be inspected by a technician and have the necessary repair work carried out.

Loss of steering control
A bolt for a knuckle on the lower control arm of the front suspension could work loose on some Evoques constructed between 31 March and 25 August 2016, and potentially leave you without control of the steering. Find out from a dealer if your car is affected; if it is, it'll need to be checked by a Land Rover technician who'll replace the necessary parts to eliminate the issue.

Front passenger airbag
The front passenger airbag of some cars made between 12 July to 26 October 2016 may not deploy at all in a collision, potentially increasing the risk of injury. Affected Evoques will need to have the airbag replaced as part of this recall.

Hi
I unfortunately hit a very large block of polystyrene that below across the dual carriageway, thankfully it was nothing more solid and didn't cause too much damage, but it did dislodge a couple of trims.
I've managed to fix the front mudflap with new trim clips but the front corner parking sensor "honeycomb" panel trim has got pushed in and I've been struggling to pull it back out and seat it back in the clips. There doesn't appear to be any way to get behind this trim to push it, so it does seem a tricky pull operation is needed but I just can't get it to work.
I've attached pictures showing the part in question and how it's become out of place.
Does anyone have any ideas on this or experience of how to fix please?
Thanks in advance.

I was thinking, as my Evo is now 8 years old and remains in beautiful condition through normal road use since new, perhaps the suspension bushes could be renewed.

As rubber can tend to harden or deteriorate in some way over time, i'm thinking perhaps my ride could be made to feel as new, but this feel would be a very slow change over time to detect, so i'm unsure where to start, or even if i really need to do it.

Has anyone here renewed their rubber bushes? If so, was the change a fairly dramatic improvement in ride, handling, and quietness?
Which bushes should i target?

I think this might be an underrated improvement that most might not realise to do over time.

All info will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance

As this is the Maintenance thread, I thought I'd share this with those who are interested.

Further to my Fuel Tank Shield replacement, I have attached a few photos for those interested in viewing the state of a shield that is 8 years old, 55k on the clock and garaged day and night when car isn't being used.

The new shield has been treated on both sides with several coats of a rubberised solution, Granville Underbody Seal Schutz.

Total cost.....£310 including shield and sealant.

If anyone has a link to making a complaint to LR about this then it would be appreciated if you could forward it to me.

Happy Motoring.
