First post from longtime lurker. I've used this forum and others like it as a resource and thought it was time to give back.

Has anyone experienced a cracked exhaust manifold? I have a 2012 Pure that started leaking exhaust into the cabin. When I took it to the dealer they told me the exhaust manifold cracked and they wanted $5300 to fix it. The car had a little less than 70K miles. I called NA Land Rover for help with warranty coverage, but they denied it.

Went to get the issue fixed outside of the dealership and found OEM Borg Warner turbo/manifolds advertised on the internet, but no one had them in stock. Land Rover is the only supplier and they want $4000. I ended up having a third party remove it and weld it. Total cost ended up to be $1000 ($600 labor, $100 weld, $200 Land Rover diagnostics, and $100 gaskets and fluids).

I attached a pic of where the manifold cracked. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

That kind of took me aback. Based on my reading/poking around the past few months, I *thought* that the 19 inch OEM tire (at least on the Pure/Pure Plus) were all season tires & it was the 20 inch OEM tire that was summer. In poking around, I don't find anything (other than Tire Rack) that is definitive, and forum searches kind of go both ways.

Can anyone else chime in? Was I correct (but no longer), or was I wrong, or is something else going on?

This is our first LR. Our local dealer does not supply a LR courtesy vehicle. They use Enterprise Car Rental loaner vehicle. Is this normal for LR in the US? Long story about when I purchased my new Evoque, but we were under the impression that we would get a LR as a loaner - I'd be happy with an LR2. Service has been good, but other dealers like Lexus, BMW, Audi, Mercedes, etc. all give loaners of their own makes/models - no rental car carrier. I'm just curious as to what other customers in the US have experienced.
