Hi All,

I have a 2015 Evoque Dynamic (TD4), I am the first owner and bought this NEW car in 2015, the vehicle has done 68,000 kms. With in the warranty period (50,000 kms) the Gear box and the Front Diff was changed.

I have reported sound from the rear of the car from past 3 years, LR Service department has ignored it and now has come back and told me there is a Rear Diff issue.

Has anyone experienced same problem with Evoque within 3 years of purchase.

thank you.

Hi guys, my 2011 Evoque went into 'limp mode' a few weeks ago and the diagnosis is a bad turbo, which they say will cost upward of $5000....

This isnt the dealer, but rather an auto electrician in Syd.

Has anyone heard of a turbo failing before? The car only has 60,000kms, I've had cars with more than double those kms, and have never had a turbo problem........

Thanks,

Hi,

I recently took my Evoque to a Landrover service centre as I am having issues with my rear tailgate. At intermittent times it wont auto open using any of the 3 opening options (internal, key or external buttons).
It did have a message come up on the radio screen when the car was on acc (not running) that there was a low battery and the system would switch off after a minute or something and about 6 months ago I had some warning message about stability control?? come up on the dash whilst driving along the highway.

So I am thinking the battery has something to do with it... however... here is my question...

I was told by the service place that I would require 2 x replacement batteries, one about $900 worth and the other about $500. What's worse is that it is just 3 months out of warranty (only 40,000ks on the clock). And was told that the batteries need replacing before doing the recall work on the transmission which I wasn't aware of.

Forgive my ignorance.. but I had no idea the Evoque had 2 batteries?

Can someone confirm/explain this? I don't want to be taken for a ride.

Cheers

Hi guys. I have not been on here for ages. I had an interesting one this morning, jumped into the car and pressed the start button, the steering column locked and the error steering locked came on the screen and the car would not start. I searched google and some freelander forums suggested a battery, others said a sensor.

Anyway, called Land rover assist, they said my membership had expired. I had renewed up to Jan2016 but it I believe I have never seen a renewal for 16/17.

They sent NRMA out and he basically had no idea. It needed to be towed to the mechanic. Again NRMA did not know how to get into neutral when the car can't start. I showed him how (for those that don't know, press the start button without your foot on the brake. Once the accessories are on, hold the up shift gear paddle on the steering wheel for 15 send or so with your foot on the brake. The gear nob will raise so you can put in neutral.)

As the steering was locked we had to use wheel dolleys to move the car out of the garage. In the end it was the battery, so easy fix.

Hope this helps if someone has the same problem.

Hi All.

Some of you may remember the GPS system that gets installed in existing 8" Touch screen that Evoque has - posted by Mark.

We are happen to be the installer who actually supplied the system and fitted to his MY13 Dynamic model.

Wanted to extend our appreciation as he came all the way down to Melb from border of NSW / ACT 乃

We've been introduced to this forum from one of our customer who also got same system installed in his Evoque, that there's been a mention of our name and system.

And we could see that some of you showed some interest, hence we wanted to just come and write a quick intro.

Mark already reviewed our system well, and beside our system doesn't really have much to show

Just a GPS system that retrofit to the audio system, works like genuine GPS, probably the price was the most ideal part (compare to dealer's price, that is.)

Photos are from our very 1st Range Rover Evoque we've worked on - 2015 Range Rover Evoque Pure Tech.

I mean, It's not the best system in terms of granting other features, other than Navigation it doesn't granting anything else.

Yet we've heard that Factory GPS is way too expensive and aftermarket ones will require better Antenna locale to get the GPS signal, gives us bit of advantage in terms of quality and price

Our system is compatible with Pretty much every Land Rover from 2012, apart from Defender as it has totally different system last time we checked.

Freelander II, Range Rover Sports (Although it has standard Nav), Discovery 4 and Evoque.

Jaguar is also compatible yet frankly speaking we've only tested it once on brand new X Type hence not 100% sure at the moment.

I'm trying to make it less sales orientated as possible so will stop from here, but as we've already had total of 6 customers via this forum, again we really appreciate your interests and pleased to know if there's anything we can assist with

Also, big thanks to Mark for great review. We owe you a beer and Ben & Jerry's.
Thank you

Hi Guys,

UK compliance mean mine (which arrives next week) will need dual rear fogs...

I have no idea if Aussie spec Evoques carry this? The AU RRE site says rear fog light(s) !!

But clarification would be great as this will cost me about $350 !!! if it doesn't

Should have total costs of the import from Ox to UK soon which I'll share as it may be of use to someone else at some point

Cheers

Since I brought my Range Rover Evoque, which came without a navigation system and I have struggled with getting a proper GPS to work, mostly due to the solar attenuating windscreen. In the end I gave up with most and brought a system the links my phone with HUD which is quite OK but not I want with such an expensive car.

I finally found a reasonable, to me, work around. A mob in Victoria, Naviplus can install a navigation system that is compatible with and fully integrates with the sound system on the main screen. The system installs along with the factory audio system, and doesn't change / replace any of cars default audio, but just adds navigation + touch screen function features. They install the system box under the centre console area below the heater controls and placed a small aerial on the corner of the dash on the passenger’s side, no wires or anything showing at all. All up it cost me $1,200 but it works, looks OK and it makes me happy to finally have something that works every time I turn on the car.

While it does not add a NAV button on the outside buttons it puts the NAV button on the touch screen and fully integrates with the sound system, with music stopping when the GPS wants to talk.
Their website is http://www.naviplus.com.au/ and they are located in Brunswick and it takes just under 2 hours to install.

I have posted this with pictures in the modifications area but thought there might be more interest in the Australia area. A few pictures

Hi Guys,

After six amazing years here in Australia the wife and I are heading back home to the UK

Therefore I am forced to sell our Baby (RR!)

I have just listed it initially on Gumtree:

http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/gwelup/ca...1079562052

If you know of anyone that may be interested, then please pass them my way.

Sad to leave these shores and the Evoque - but they say change is good....!

Hi folks, just taken delivery of MY15 SD4 PureTech auto with heaps of extras. It was floor stock, so came with loads of extras, but happy with price considering the extra options that were included: pana roof, Clearview pack, 20" alloys, front park sensors, heated power folding mirrors with rev dip & approach lamps, rear camera, power seats with memory, HDD Nav. Having come from long term German cars, I'm loving the drive and the comfort of the RR. For some reason the Germans don't like to make you too comfortable in the seating dept!

Looks like a great forum and will work through all the posts over the next weeks.
Cheers
