Car was running fine, stopped at a shop, came out and it cranked but no start. Scanned and FC was
P062A: Electric Fuel Pump 1: Control Circuit Malfunction.

Presumed Fuel Pump Control Module, so stripped out the rear drivers side wheel liner to get to it but it's not there.

Anybody know where it is? I thought it would be there as the car is registered 2017 but it's starting to look like it was built early 2016 from the VIN which seems to be around the change over of location.

It runs from the positive terminal fusable link nut to the fuse box and intermittently becomes disconnected causing no power at all to the vehicle. By touching it, the car comes to life. It is a 2015 Diesel Evoque Convertible and I think it has been dodgy for awhile as I sometimes get sensor faults and all sorts of flashing when driving and after the auto start/stop kicks in. I thought it was the battery, but it is definitely the cable.
My question is, can I just "repair" it with either a new cable of same specs, and/or re-crimp the burnt end?
I am looking at a fair bit of $$ if I buy the OEM cable LR067369, but it just looks like a big red multi-strand 10mm diameter cable with two crimps.
Appreciate any advice or other experiences of this nature.

I can now supply you with a full and complete new spare key, as per the photos below. This is ready to be coded to your car either by yourself with an appropriate IID type tool, or by your local garage. It’s a very simple routine and takes less than a minute.

These are UK spec 433mhz. They have a blank blade ready to be cut and matched to your single key by your local locksmith (I wouldn’t recommend Timpsons).

These clam shell keys have the nicer matt finish to them (prevents unsightly scratching like the gloss version).

These can be used on all Land Rovers (and Jaguars) that have the 5 button configuration so Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Discovery, Freelander, Evoque, Velar, Discovery Sport

Price is merely £50 inc 1st Class Signed for and tracked postage.

Tried to loosen the nuts but I am not sure whether they are captive? there is no way of finding the bolt head in the boot without ripping out the preformed sound proofing as far I can see.
