Oh no, bought another set of wheels! - Nickj - 28-05-2016 04:51pm So, just got a new set of wheels for the missus Evoque, but she hates them! They do look hard! Not what she's after! http://babyrr.com/forum/Thread-My-new-wheels-10-wide?pid=111465#pid111465 So, after she managed to curb one and blame it on them being wide, I feel I need to save the wheels so have seen another set I like, and might be more wife friendly! I've always liked the new shape Evoque split offset 5 spoke but never felt they were wide enough. Seen a few pics of a forum members 22s in silver ( Roger, put4par and pj range) that look great, but I hanker after black so when I saw these I snapped them up. These are 9.5" wide, offset less aggressive so she shouldn't curb them, and still an oem style, just pumped up a bit! Bought a new set of pirellis 265/35/22 but they are now out of stock so rather annoyingly have to wait a week to get fitted! RE: Oh no, bought another set of wheels! - sasdiscos - 28-05-2016 05:35pm are they genuine or after market? Steve RE: Oh no, bought another set of wheels! - Nickj - 28-05-2016 05:52pm Aftermarket. Dont think they do 22s in this style for an Evoque. Price was not oem either! RE: Oh no, bought another set of wheels! - xz4 - 28-05-2016 07:46pm Saw these on eBay and would have bought them if I didn't already have 22" Overfinch already. Pirelli tyres to fit are just under £130 each from Camskill. Pirelli tyres to fit are just under £130 each from Camskill. Checked out camskill. Works out £550 inc delivery and then I'd have to get fitted. Last time on a contactless machine cost me £67 for 4 fitted, so £617. I've got fully fitted price on a contactless machine for £590 through Asda tyre as get 10% discount. Just frustrating they are now out of stock and can't deliver them till Friday! If it gets delayed again I will buy from camkill. RE: Oh no, bought another set of wheels! - xz4 - 28-05-2016 08:08pm That's a really good price from Asda. Camskil pricesl are usually really competitive. Sounds like a plan. RE: Oh no, bought another set of wheels! - Nickj - 28-05-2016 09:24pm (28-05-2016 08:08pm)xz4 Wrote: That's a really good price from Asda. The Asda site is basically the black circle site who are competing anyway, but I can get 10% discount so generally it's hard to beat. The chap I got them off is a forum sponsor on my old m3 forum, and a good guy. RE: Oh no, bought another set of wheels! - PhilSkill - 28-05-2016 10:01pm Look forward to see what these look like on! RE: Oh no, bought another set of wheels! - dang - 28-05-2016 10:04pm for any set of smart wheels I would recommend a set of alloy gators. I have a black set on my black wheels and they have saved the wheels from my wife's terrible parking skills countless times. you can't even see them on black rims |
