Black Lug Nuts - andylee97 - 16-05-2016 06:07am

I'm looking for Black wheel lugs and everywhere I look there is conflicting information. I see the size is 14x1.5 but they say that should be used with aftermarket wheels only. I have OEM wheels but they supposedly won't fit and I don't understand why.

just get some black covers for about £7 but they don't fit the locking nut

I had the same problem, OEM black nuts are terribly expensive, and the locking nut would still not be black. Black covers are cheap, gloss black but will not fit the locking nut.
I went ahead and bought a locking nut set for the Ford S-Max, these fit the evoque. The locking nuts are smaller than the LR ones and come with a cap that is exactly the same size as an original wheel nut. Then I fitted the black plastic covers. All done!

So after spending time looking around and weighing all my options I decided to go with the cheapest and laziest and just get black covers. I'll provide the link below for anyone else looking. Just remember to get a 22mm Hex and they should fit over the lugs.

This never even entered my mind consurning my wheel nuts Laughing
I have black wheels and chrome nut covers and ever since I read this thread, all I seem to be doing is looking at every car I drive past that as black wheels to see what colour nuts it has Rolling Eyes

I defo need to get some black cover caps, the black wheels look so much better with the black nuts Thumbs Up

Are these any good for evoque ?

Think any m14 1.5 will be fine. Some listed in ebay for £10. Just need to be the right thread.

Thanks.
I just wanted to be sure that there wasn't something like the angle of taper etc. etc. that might differ compared to OEM

There are 3 basic things to consider:

Thread size, pitch and seat type
