Have googled this and cant find the answer
I have a MY16 RRE SE Tech with InControl Touch (I believe its the basic level), when connecting an iPhone 6 there is no ability to read/respiond to text messages, however connecting an Andriod works just fine, is this feature not supported with iPhone 6 ?

I believe there is a setting in the iPhone Bluetooth menu, a friend has an new Merc and he had the same issue. At first there was no option to turn the feature one but after it had connected and disconnected a few times there was a new option under the Bluetooth settings for the hands free device, something like "show notifications" once changed all seamed to work.

Have you had any luck having messages show up? I tried looking through all sorts of menus but haven't had any luck yet. Just seeing if you've found a solution!

The salesman said the message function won't work with any iPhone only android.

Thanks for the quick reply! Sorry to hear that we can't expect this functionality. You would think the hardware could support CarPlay at some point, maybe I will remain optimistic...
