Lost sub woofer? - Clip - 11-05-2015 12:03pm Just did a forum search and can't find an answer to this . I just picked up my 2015 Pure Tech with HDD Nav, and quite happy with the Meridian sound (certainly a big improvement over the MB Harmon Kardon and possibly equal to VAG Dynaudio with very good staging - I can almost see Ian Anderson dancing over the dash on Locomotive Breath!). But, I'm confused. It's supposed to have 11 speakers, so I count 3 in each front door (6), 2 in each rear door (4) = 10. So where is the 11th? There is no sub under the passenger seat. It doesn't sound like it has a sub - all the bass seems to come from the door speakers. But it has a sub control in the audio settings (Treble, Bass, Sub). If there is a sub somewhere, it's either not working, or it's useless, or, someone has flogged it! And it really needs one, so have to get it sorted. Any help, much appreciated. RE: Lost sub woofer? - Evoque0700 - 11-05-2015 12:45pm The factory amp is located under driver's seat while the sub is present under the passanger's seat. Definitely no sub under the passenger seat. I'm doubting if there is even an amp under the drivers seat, if there is it must be under the carpet. When I fiddled with the settings today when turning up the sub fully, it just changed the bass coming out of the front door speakers. Feeling a bit ripped off - still don't know where the 11th speaker unless there's a centre one on the dash. It really needs a sub, so going to have to invest in one - problem is where to put it, it has to be hidden. Any thoughts? RE: Lost sub woofer? - PhilSkill - 12-05-2015 12:57pm For 11 Speaker System the Sub is under the Carpet under the drivers seat, see here (Click on the 380Watt to see the image)... https://www.meridian-audio.com/automotive/land-rover/range-rover-evoque/#post-gallery RE: Lost sub woofer? - Clip - 13-05-2015 09:29am (12-05-2015 12:57pm)PhilSkill Wrote: For 11 Speaker System the Sub is under the Carpet under the drivers seat, see here (Click on the 380Watt to see the image)...Thanks Phil, but not under the drivers seat either! I took it into the dealer today and they are at a loss to explain it. Seems there has been a change in specs that no one knows about. The sub level control does make a difference, but only to the lower two door speakers. But as I explained to him, on all my spec sheets from them it clearly states Meridian 11 speaker 380Watt sound system and mine only has 10! He said he would chase it up for me, so will see what he finds out.
