Fuel Pump Being Changed - 36,000 miles - Help! - gabhishekanand - 10-02-2015 05:44pm Range Rover Evoque Prestige Black 2013 36000 miles Dear Members, I had the engine light( amber) on and looked up the manual and went to the showroom. They said the fuel pump was somehow messing with the electrics and hence would need to change it and asked me to drop off my car which I did. Should I be concerned? I bought it as a brand new vehicle and its at 36000 miles and the fuel pump to be replaced at this juncture and messing with electrics ? My warranty ends at 50000 miles and then I would be paying for all repairs should these problems continue.. THey already replaced my drive shaft for some sound it was making. Please advise if I should be concerned with the fuel pump being replaced. Thanks Abhi RE: Fuel Pump Being Changed - 36,000 miles - Help! - DVFlyer - 10-02-2015 06:57pm Things happen. There is really no way to predict what this means in regards to future repairs. I dont abuse the vehicle..Fuel Pump replacement in 36000 miles didnt seem normal.. just checking to see if the experts think anything else may have triggered it or would this be connected with a bigger issue.. or any advice on those lines.. thats all RE: Fuel Pump Being Changed - 36,000 miles - Help! - PhilSkill - 10-02-2015 11:43pm Pumps fail, they are electro-mechanical and they can induce electrical noise into other circuits when they are failing, there should be no long term damage from this so as long as the dealer has diagnosed it correctly there should be nothing to worry about.
