coolant low warning in 15 deg temp. - bangsters - 15-01-2015 10:10pm

Hey guys. The coolant level low showed up on my dash 2x during the day when it was 15 degress here in NJ. I just have the car 4 months so it can't really be low, and when the weather warmed up a bit, I haven't seen the warning again.

Any ideas? Anyone else seen this on very cold days?

I had the exact same experience bangsters and put it down to the float perhaps being stuck given it was well below freezing here in Boston. Once things warmed up the warning also went away.
I think the RRE is super sensitive for this warning too.

keep an eye on the coolant level. i've had to add coolant to mine before. there is purportedly a TSB about some leaks. however it is in fact also very sensitive.

doody.

even I had similar experience, if temp is below 0, I do see the flash, but it lasts for very short time (about 5 secs).

so far it happens when it's cold, around 25 deg or below. happened to me again while temp was a little over 20.

still keeping an eye on it.
