Upgrade Illuminated tread plates - oZ1337 - 09-01-2015 03:08pm
Hi all,
I'm considering to upgrade my tread plates to the illuminated ones (don't have them yet). The price in the online catalogue for the ones I need (5door) seems to be not the problem.
Now, I don't know how to remove the old ones to look if it is simply an exchange as there might be already the cables and the plug, to simply plug-in the new tread plates, under the old ones..
Has anybody here already replaced them?
As I get a much more expensive price for the tread plates at the Land Rover Service consultant I am a little bit confused though the installation is only priced with ~20€. (official Land Rover store)

yep straight forward fitment, your old ones will pop/pull out.
there will be a plug at the front most section of the floor, illuminated plates plug into this, then push your new plates on and you are good to go!

My wife added these to our spec list, I was hesitant, they do look awesome though. I was worried they would cheapen the feel of the RR but they don't.

The tread plate illumination looks more awesome when the interior ambient lighting is turned to the same blue color.
