You'll need to also buy a heated wheel slip-ring (approx. £150 from duckworths), and you've got a fully functioning heated steering wheel for £250 plus whatever you can get for your old wheel

Can anyone advise me.... Will it fit a Evoque without an existing heated steering wheel, i.e. are all the connections / wires / looms available to fit the heated one to a non heated one car (apart from requiring the slip ring as already noted)?

yes it will be fine. - you just need the slip ring as I stated.
