Lower Door trim removal... - RacingSnake - 30-05-2014 09:39am

Does anyone know how to remove the trim from the bottom of the outside of the door?
I can pull up the leading edge and it looks just like it's held on with clips (and probably tape).

Does anyone know for sure what holds it on?

Reason for asking is that it might provide better access to the back of my car-park dent than behind the interior door trim.

Ok,
held on with 13 trim clips.
I managed to not break a single one (hurrah!).

Hi Racing Snake, thanks that's a useful pic, a pic of the clips/inside of the trim would be handy too.

it would be handy, wouldn't it? lol

Sadly I've only just seen this, and the dent man has just pushed the trim back on Neutral

RacingSnake, were the trim clips the plastic fasteners like used on the rear hatch cover and threshold areas? I just bought some of these from my LRR Parts Dept. and could have sworn I was at the Porsche dealer. They are almost identical push-in clips but one is a tad bit longer, the shorter ones are $8.00/each and the slightly longer ones are $18.00/each!! WOW, RR is mighty proud of those clips, must be "magic plastic" or something...and don't get me started on $140.00 for 4 wheel locks and a key....

If I remember, they didn't seem anything special, so I'd say they were standard - but wow, even so that is a hell of a price to pay Surprised
