Removing the passenger seat - bradders - 22-05-2014 07:52am Hi, Last night my girlfriend managed to drop her very expensive/dainty bracelet down the side of the passenger seat. It appears to have slipped into one of the many holes under the seat. I was wondering how difficult it would be to remove the seat? Thanks in advance for the advice. Brad Removing the passenger seat - Stadt Panzer - 22-05-2014 12:05pm Shouldn't be a problem, normally 4 bolts, you just have to have the correct tools. RE: Removing the passenger seat - mark_n - 27-05-2014 10:33pm I had similar when a friend dropped a diamond ring and I was worried it would be lost. They use screws which look like male torx screws to allow a very high tightening torque since it is only these screws which stop the set moving in an accident. You can buy matching sockets to add to a socket set. There are 4 screws which can be exposed by moving the seat all the way forwards and then back. You have to hope that if the bracelet has fallen down one of the holes you can retrieve it with the help of mirrors, a torch and something like a wire coat hanger. Fortunately, the ring in my case was lodged under one of the seat runners. |
