Where can I buy quality brake pads online? - tokkifierce - 19-01-2014 10:49pm

Hello. I am new here and seek advice on replacing my front and rear brake pads. Dealership price is ridiculous.

I have found 2 sites but there are no reviews or anything so I was hoping for someone's opinion, or a reliable online supplier.

2013 Evoque with 23k miles. Starting to hear screatch sound.

Thanks!

Look at ebay. I believe that a pair of Bendix pads sell for $50 or less. Raybestos and Wagner are also good brands. Don't buy the cheap mystery brands. Check out your local Pepboys or Advance Auto. You will know what grade you have decided to buy as each manufacturer has several grade qualities, some lifetime warranties. Range Rover original pads (complete set of 4) sell for $150 on ebay. You can switch to ceramic pads to cut down on the brake dust but I've heard is that they have a softer pedal feel. Don't continue to drive the Evoque if you hear metal to metal scraping or else you are in for a very expensive brake job! Are you sure its the pads as they usually last longer than 23k?

Thanks a lot I appreciate it. The dealership told me the pads are low and even said I should get the rotors too but those were not emergency. I suppose I use the brakes too much and should play with the manual mode

found 1 set on ebay, not sure of the quality

Decided to go with Akebono EUR1307 EURO Ultra-Premium Ceramic Brake Pad Set from Amazon and the EUR1306 front on ebay for $60. Saved a lot !

Tried to get them installed today and the mechanic didn't want to because he said the land rover computer is needed or something. Anyone know anything about this? Range Rover will only install OEM

DID YOU BE ABLE TO INSTALL THE AKEBONO BRAKE ON THE CAR YET? DID YOU ASK DEALER TO INSTALL THE AFTERMARKET BRAKE OR HOW DID YOU DO IT?
