Changing Key Fob Part - SG - 18-08-2013 10:06pm Hi All, This may be a silly question, however I have searched the web and can't seem to find any suitable part. I've badly scratched and damaged the detachable silver part of the key fob which reads "Range Rover" and I am wondering if it is possible to find just this part to purchase rather than a whole new key fob which would be unnecessary. Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks, SG RE: Changing Key Fob Part - Trapdoor - 18-08-2013 10:18pm Any good? Whole fob but may be an option.... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/range-rover-key-fob-5-buttons-/281150636761?pt=UK_Car_Accessories_Safety_Security&hash=item4175e242d9 RE: Changing Key Fob Part - SG - 18-08-2013 11:39pm Thanks for that, I saw that on Ebay but its used and already seems scratched. It annoying too to pay for a whole new fob when all i'm after is the silver bit... RE: Changing Key Fob Part - speary - 19-08-2013 07:53am Try giving a good polish with Autosol metal polish. It works well on the plastic parts as well RE: Changing Key Fob Part - mark_n - 20-08-2013 07:04am I have the same issue with the shiny black plastic battery cover. Not available as a spare part. RE: Changing Key Fob Part - duckworthparts - 20-08-2013 11:17am the chrome range rover part is available seperately £22+VAT RE: Changing Key Fob Part - J77 - 26-08-2013 10:34pm Don't know if this has been posted on here before but I got one of these for the Freelanders fob, only downside is it has Range Rover on it, fine for you guys. Fits perfect Looks good, I'm liking the bright colour option (will stop my picking up the wrong set of keys). One question J77, how are the buttons with the cover on. What I mean is, do you have to press any harder. RE: Changing Key Fob Part - J77 - 27-08-2013 07:05pm Don't need to press any harder with it on, there are cheaper ones on eBay, I think mine cost £4 with free postage from someplace in china. Here is one for your good lady http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pink-Silicone-Cover-Case-Shell-for-Land-Rover-Range-Rover-Evoque-Smart-Key-5BT-/290905788563?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item43bb561093 |
