Another trip into the Aussie bush - Mark^^ - 07-08-2013 10:30am Well I went for a weekend away with some friends for a weekend down the south coast of NSW, our 7th annual Xmas in July trip. We started as a group of Ford Territory drivers, but have diversified to include a Jeep Grand Cherokee and my RRE. The accommodation was at the Seven Mile Beach Holiday Park at Gerroa, and remember we are still in Winter in Australia. My car on arrival the beach The fire trail we went exploring on: Then after a bit of a clean up RE: Another trip into the Aussie bush - j7david - 08-08-2013 08:15pm nice photos! Was the track all fairly smooth or did it have challenging bits? RE: Another trip into the Aussie bush - Mark^^ - 09-08-2013 02:21am It was fairly smooth but twisty and often had ruts and some major up hills that would have been a challenge if it had of been wet and two minor water crossings. It was still fun though RE: Another trip into the Aussie bush - Easty - 10-08-2013 05:05am Looks like fun roads. RE: Another trip into the Aussie bush - Mark^^ - 30-12-2013 09:19am Rather than start a new thread here are a few photos of a drive up into the Snowy Mountains around Tumut in NSW via Wee Jasper. It was a round trip of around 300KM and about 150km was dirt/gravel roads. Most of the area is recently cut down pine plantation and makes it easy to drive through the forestry tracks. The photos: on the way in: driving to the top of one of the hills. The view from the top of the forestry hill on the way out: |
