LR Fusion System/Ceramic Pro paint protection - Isotonic - 10-03-2013 04:05pm

It's fairly unanimous that dealer paint protection is usually a waste of money but I'm pretty intrigued by Ceramic Pro.

The LR "vehicle protection specialist" contacted me about the LR Fusion system - " a 2 part ceramic coating designed to give the exterior a Glass like finish" - $1990 including taxes for the exterior coating, all 3 interior treatments and also includes window tint when purchased on any new Land Rover.

I couldn't find out much about this Fusion stuff, but it seems to be the same as Ceramic Pro:

"Ceramic Pro can be layered ot be the thickest and hardest paint protection coating available". Their facebook page has some pretty glossy cars - too glossy, if anything. This can be easily exaggerated in Photoshop by increasing highlights though.

Does anyone have any first-hand experience with this stuff? I regularly polish and wax my cars but it's a bit of a PITA. I like the result but not the process.

I wouldn't touch any paint protection from a dealer. Find a reputable detailer that you can get references from and see their work and you'll probably spend a lot less for a much better job!

Hi iso
I had my coupe done with ceramic pro here in Vic just afer I pick up it up.
Very happy with the result, and cleaning is pretty simple, brake dust comes off fairly easy also.
Cost was about $1200 which included 3 coat on the exterior, wheels and leather protection, you also get a life time guarantee. I was origionaly looking for the gtechnic process but foud it hard to find a dealer here in Vic although both detailer i spoke to for the ceramic pro said they had been involed with gtechnic but the ceramic pro was better ( Bias most likley ) but the life time warrenty compaired to a 5 year swayed me to the ceramic pro process.
best of all is ther is no nned to polish as any of these waxes/ polishes don't stich to the coating and will only wash off each time you wax the car
All the best.
