Adding USB connection to 5" radio - harry - 23-02-2013 04:53pm I´m thinking of adding USB connection to my standard Pure 5" radio which I did not quote for when ordering. Does anybody know to where the USB connection is plugged into and how the connector/wiring looks like ? I beleive it is connected to the rear of CD box but may be wrong. Thanks for any comments. RE: Adding USB connection to 5" radio - harry - 03-06-2013 09:45am this is how the connector should look like from the back of CD unit: RE: Adding USB connection to 5" radio - PhilSkill - 03-06-2013 12:02pm A complete guess but have you checked with a meter to see if you have 5V on pins 1 and 4 (looks like it maybe a 4 pin connector) if so it'll likely be standard USB wiring...? You might be able to run an extension if you can find a connector that fits...? RE: Adding USB connection to 5" radio - harry - 03-06-2013 06:53pm no chance to measure as the power cabel is too short and both, power and usb connector are at the back of the unit. I will check with dealer if the original cable can be ordered.
