Finally Got Round To Ordering Gtechniq. - The Valeter - 21-02-2013 10:16pm

As a valeter I registered with Gtechniq months ago but never got round to ordering anything being stuck in my ways etc. Anyway I have ordered a good selection of products which I will try on my new car first then offer the services via my business. Smile

Good move! Amazing products in my experience!

Awesome stuff, I have nearly every product except their new M1 Metal polish which again has rave reviews.

I'm using the easy stuff, Gtechniq GT-Silo. And at first blush does not seem to have the staying power of Zaino Z-CS Clear Seal, an equivalent product. Will report back after further comparison.

I just got some M1 - haven't tried it yet but will report back when I do.

Nice one WB!

Scrannel you should get C2v2 it is really easy, you do have to mix it with water for use as you need it and only keeps mixed for a couple of weeks, but it is great as can be used on a wet car so easy to apply after a wash, use on glass, trim, paint, better than a QD.

Can you elaborate on this product please?

C2v2 is the liquid polish, which if you dilute 1:20 with ionised water will last for ages as opposed to tap water, and in the dilution state in a spray bottle works brilliant as a finishing spray.

From GTechniq website.

C2 is a non-yellowing, high gloss, dirt repelling coating that cross-links with all surfaces of your car including bodywork, glass and trim providing long lasting (as much as 8 months from a single application) and exceptionally easy non smearing application.

A single application of C2 will offer up to 8 months protection. C2 does not require any special maintenance routine and being inorganic will cause no adverse reaction with any other product including repaint. We recommend following best practice for surface care which includes ensuring that wash tools are kept free from contaminants that could scratch and using a ph neutral wax free car/boat/plane shampoo. For very best results it is recommended to use a 1:20 dilution of C2 as a quick detailer (spray onto surfaces just prior to drying) once every 3 washes. C2 can also be layered to hide minor surface imperfections (eg marring on soft lacquers).

My Punto is not treated with anything and I use this diluted spray on that after its rare wash. Works really well.

Just an update on Gtechniq GT-Silo use: after second application it now seems to have "taken hold", if you will. Very happy with the product.
