Just out of interest does the Evoque ride much higher than a normal car? When inside the interior size feels just like a normal car but on my test drive we went round country lanes without seeing another car so I was unable to judge how much higher my ride would be.

The seating position is higher so you do climb up slightly and do look over other "normal" cars, but not by much...

And it doesn' have the command driving position that you might initially expect so it feels very much more car than SUV. It's something I still haven't got used to.

Same side ramp/obstacle clearance as Freelander.... And identical wading depth. But as someone once described, you sit in an Evoque seat and not on it as with the Freelander seat.

Interesting to compare Evoque and Freelander

Front Axle Clearance 215mm (EVQ) 210mm (FL2)
Rear Axle Clearance 240mm (EVQ) 265mm (FL2)
Approach Angle 25deg (EVQ) 31deg (FL2)
Ramp Angle 22deg (EVQ) 23deg (FL2)
Departure Angle 33deg (EVQ) 34deg (FL2)
Wading Depth 500mm
