Help !! - gazzaj - 30-01-2013 11:50am HI new to here, am in the process of specifiying my new Evoque, but am unable to decide which wheels to choose, can anyone give any advice ?, either going for 20" Style 6 or 19" but unsure what looks best on 19"s. with black paint finish. Gary RE: Help !! - ChuckieB - 30-01-2013 12:01pm Only some practical advice on this one as it is a matter of taste! Style 5's are a pain to clean. I have a set! Style 4's, I have a set if these too and am running them over winter and they are far more accessible for keeping clean. They have grown on me over the couple of month's I've had them on. 19's make for cheaper repacement and may give a more compliant ride overall depending on your spec of model. However if I was to find a set of style 7's cheap enough I might have gone for a set of those too RE: Help !! - superfox - 30-01-2013 12:11pm I have the diamond cut 19" at the moment and think they are nice, currently have the Glass Black 20" on order though because I'm after the all black night rider look Personal taste really, it's your car you make it the way YOU like ! Remember though bigger is better RE: Help !! - WB - 30-01-2013 12:33pm I'm a big fan of the Style 4 19" - they are easy to clean - including the backs with the right type of wheel brush and the ride on 19" is quite a lot better in my opinion. RE: Help !! - J77 - 30-01-2013 12:46pm I had style 4 19s but changed them to style 6 20. 19s do have a better ride quality but the 20s look better IMO It's not black but it will give you a rough guide RE: Help !! - gazzaj - 30-01-2013 12:53pm Hi J77 How have you found them with Kurb damage, this is the only thing putting me off these, I love the look of these but dont want to be spending £100's pounds in wheel refurbs. RE: Help !! - J77 - 30-01-2013 01:38pm So far so good, no damage but they are bit more vulnerable to kerbs. Just be a bit mindful when parking and they will be fine. I've just bought a new set of Style 7's with tyres off ebay for £995.00 for my new Evoque - this way I can sell the standard 18's before they go on the road! I must admit I like the Style 3's & wanted 4's but the 7's were too good to miss (30-01-2013 12:53pm)gazzaj Wrote: Hi J77 Be carefull when driving/parking. I never touched my Style 7's on the Evoque I just sold after 10 Months. RE: Help !! - gazzaj - 31-01-2013 10:44am Can you replace 18" with 20" and not adjust the speedometer ??? surley with the larger wheel an adjustment needs to be made ? RE: Help !! - CSJ - 31-01-2013 11:00am Actual rolling size is the same just different tyre depth so no adjustment needed |
