Hi Guys,
i am having issues with my etag being detected in the car. Is the windscreen metallic.
I have tried with 2 tags and both will not beep.
I can't be the first person who is having this issue, anyone else have this problem.
I have spoken to Citylink and they can't tell me exactly if thats the problem but have marked my account as metallic so i don't get charged for the no etag fee.

Try a search (title only) on Tag and you will see a number of discussions on this problematic topic

My E-Tag works fine - up next to the Rear View Mirror - My Tom Tom does not work though!

As above. There is threads already on this.
Took ages to find the spot that works. Ended up being on the left edge of the dotted area behind the mirror.
Have to start up my Navman outside the car to get it to work.
It's because of the solar attenuating glass...
Does keep the car cooler though.

I think the sweet spot for tags is also up by the dots... Have no issues and the tag is hidden (from the driver) by the mirror... Win!

i had it placed on the right side of the mirror, and also held it in my hand.
