Seat Back Protector: information please - brianthedog - 11-12-2012 01:37am

I need something to stop the back of my seat getting scuffed from the child seat occupant.Sad

I am about to return the Diono Stuff 'n Scuff Car Seat Back Protector as I can see no way to attach it to the bottom of the standard 5 door Dynamic seats.
The Jolly Jumper Seat Back Protector and Summer Infant Seat Back Protector look similar (not great) but again, how do you attach them to the bottom of the seats?

Any other (sensible) product suggestions?

Thanks.

I have the Jolly jumper ones in my Evoque 5 and the wife's Fiesta. The elastic loop at the bottom edges is wide enough to go over the top of the front seat then down to the base of the seat. Admittedly it doesn't look brilliant but I don't notice it so much as the elastic is black on my black leather and it looks a whole lot better than knackered seat backs

You can get cheap ones with Velcro at the bottom. The only thing is that they are a bit short to fasten properly around the 2 bars of the headrest. I tied mine around one bar until I make an extension that will go around both.

I think I have found a reasonable solution.

The Prince Lionheart Backseat Kick Mat has a webbing strap securing the bottom which is made of the same stuff as the top tie you can see around the headrest posts in the photo.

The lower securing strap wraps around the seat and joins to the other sides strap with velcro. The strap can then be pushed out of sight between the seat back and base.

Looks a lot better than the clear plastic ones a have.
