Calling 0800 from a mobile phone - paisan - 20-09-2012 09:33am Reading the thread about removing car dealer sticker from rear window , Tim made a comment about calling 0800 numbers from a mobile costing more, which I have been stung by previously. I have used below number and can vouch that it is in fact free and included in my mobile minutes , as its a "proper " landline number . Wait for the prompt and THEN dial the 0800 number you need. Was calling out breakdown service so making initial call and several chase ups. (Not Evoque, Freelander at the time) . Now stored in my mobile as "freephone" . --------- Call 0118 352 0800 from your mobile. This is a UK fixed landline number and therefore you will only be charged at your normal mobile to landline rate. That means that if you have inclusive minutes then you can now call those 0800 numbers out of your inclusive minutes. RE: Calling 0800 from a mobile phone - IKM - 20-09-2012 03:49pm @paisan Is that the full landline number then for LRA: 0118 352 0800? (sorry to be slow) Thanks RE: Calling 0800 from a mobile phone - cjfp - 20-09-2012 03:59pm (20-09-2012 03:49pm)IKM Wrote: @paisan No, its a 'service' that you call - you can then call any 0800 number from your mobile without being charged to call an 800 number (which is what you have to do from a mobile) by effectively calling it via a landline number (this assumes you have an amount of free landline calls within your mobile package) |
