Interior trim bits - superfox - 06-09-2012 03:49am

I've recently upgraded my interior trim tread plates from plain to illuminated and my rear tread plate from plain to metal finisher. If any one is interested in the plain ones I'd be happy to sell them and post from Queensland Australia. They are brand new the only thing to have touched them was interior protection spray.

Give me bell if your interested Very Happy

Was the illuminated tread plates easy to install and how much did they cost to buy? Also, does it makes a difference to the car? Thanks!

Neo. I've got these on mine as part of a pack and I love them. They look cool at night.

Superfox - supplier info was that I wouldn't be able to change the colour of the illuminated tread plates from blue to red (by any means) - having now fitted a pair, do you agree ?

Neo - a PDF instruction is on here somewhere and it does look an ok to fit at home item. Pop old off, connect power to a plug that is sitting there waiting and pop new ones into place.

Thanks!

Btw I saw on eBay US they were selling for $500. Way cheaper than the dealer price of $1500. Now I have to decide should I go for the illuminated tread plates or the bonnet vents ($250)?

YES I wanted it linked to the "mood lighting" but after receiving them found it very tight and sealed everywhere with glue. Making it very hard to install a module or ever a different coloured light. By the look of them they are just normal tread plates that LR modify to allow the illumination. Looks very ugly on the underside, I had to remove loose bits of plastic from their drilling.

The upgrade is totally worth it Dan at Duckworth hooked me up very well !! It gives it the posh look after opening your door ! Even my partner agreed it increases the luxury factor.

Dan gave me - RR Evoque Coupe Automatic in Sumatra Black with ebony interior. 1* VPLVS0089 loadspace 1* VPLHS0044 pedals 1* VPLVS0078PVJ ebony coupe illum teadplates 1* VPLVS0070PVJ ebony coupe less TV seat cover 1* LR027486 tread plates 1* LR02766 valve caps

For under $1400 !!!!!!!!!! LR Australia wanted 2.5 times that so paying $150 postage was a no brainier.

From memory I think the illuminated tread plates were £240.00

Next I'm going all black, bonnet grill + front grill + lettering + side grill + boot defuser + dynamic kit and my favourite 20" gloss black style 8's

So keep your eyes open for more stuff up for sale... he he Laughing

Sorry I misread the post after running a search for 'illuminated ebony' tread plates as they are the ones I'm after. How much did you pay for yours?
