Hitch Mounted Bike Rack Options and Effect on Rear Camera and Sensor - o3zone - 29-08-2012 06:26am Just bought an Evoque and trying to figure out my bike carrying options. For people who are using hitch platform racks, do they interfere with the car's cameras and sensors? when folded up? when folded down? with bikes? Is it easy to turn off the sensor if there is interference. Thanks! RE: Hitch Mounted Bike Rack Options and Effect on Rear Camera and Sensor - Deaky - 29-08-2012 07:06am I have a tow bar mounted rack, when the electrics are plugged in the reverse sensors and BSM are disabled. The reverse camera still comes on. RE: Hitch Mounted Bike Rack Options and Effect on Rear Camera and Sensor - o3zone - 29-08-2012 07:57am thanks for the response. in the US we don't need lights or number plates on platform racks. do you know if you can turn the sensors off through the interface? thanks RE: Hitch Mounted Bike Rack Options and Effect on Rear Camera and Sensor - ED209 - 29-08-2012 08:14am I saw an evoque a while ago with a saris bones rack fitted, it looked ok. RE: Hitch Mounted Bike Rack Options and Effect on Rear Camera and Sensor - Griff449 - 30-08-2012 07:03pm Will this fit on the Evoque anyone? Obviously I would need to find someone to fit a toward and electrics. Grateful for anyone with some experience or know how! http://www.amazon.co.uk/Thule-TH9502-Rideon-2-Bike/dp/B001P8243C/ref=sr_1_fkmr2_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1346349471&sr=8-2-fkmr2 |
