"Start/Stop buttin pushed" - Evo dies in fast lane on M4! - swabes - 27-08-2012 01:34pm So that was weird. After 3 months and 2500 trouble free miles I was doing 70 on the M4 early Thursday morning when the above message flashed up and the car just died! The amber warning triangle had lit up when I started off - but the manual suggests that means something minor - and get it looked at next time your passing so I carried on with my plans. Fortunately I managed to coast over to the hard shoulder through the traffic and come to a halt. The car then started again - but I promptly got off the motorway and called LR Assist. They plugged in the laptop and found two error messages from the start/stop button: Circuit A failure - some time ago Circuit B failure - 2 miles ago Hence the car is now in Stratstone in Burnham where LR have advised fitting a new S/S button and the car is now being tested. Fortunately they hired me a brand new RRS (12 miles on the clock) which I've had for the weekend - got to say its a pretty impressive machine! Anyone else had anything similar? |
