Fitment and supply £450 inclusive of VAT (LR wanted £950 and with a template cut in the bumper). Detachable lockable Towbar Twitter. Spoken to many professionals. This is by far the better fitment. Just a couple of mils cut off. Anyone in Northern Ireland thinking of having one fitted should check out David Murphy Towing http://www.murphytowbars.com/towbars/towbars.htm

If you put the electric bracket on the back bolt then there is space for it to swing up under the bumper when not in use (see the pictures of my car in the guide).Very Happy

Hi All.... DO any of you know if you have to have the car 'reprogrammed' to update the stability and traction control after fitting the towbar ? or is it just a case of plugging in the fuses and relay thingy that you get with the wiring kit ?

cheers

Mart

Been very pleased with its fit and look (althought there is nothing to see!) and the detachable bar fits nicley along with the jack etc under my spare wheel in the boot.

Does the electric socket on the Towtrust bar hang down or swing up out of sight when not in use? The Westfalia one swings out of sight when the towbar is removed which is why I prefer that.

Towtrust Electrics swing out of the way so nothing shows when not in use.

My Umbra Rimorchi electric socket tucks away, in fact a neighbour asked why the mobile fitter didn't fit the tow bar he was trying to fit the other week, he didn't believe me it was fitted until I showed him. I very pleased with the way it looks

Anyone installed the Titan detachable towbar from PF Jones?

Plug and play (add 2 fuses and 1 relay) [look at my fitting guide]

Contacted Towbarsdirect they replied: . Please also not that the vehicle specific kits are suitable for the UK and Irish markets only.

I live in sweden, is the towbar and kits different for a RR evoque in sweden?

Another vote for the Tow Trust bar. I had mine fitted by Jim's Tow bars for 500 quid, took a couple of hours and was fitted without the LR wiring kit but just into the regular loom (Ford Mondeo apparently).
