Keyless entry an expensive option for Pure? - Puffy - 14-08-2012 06:55am Hi Guys, New to the forum and hope to get myself into an evoque but was left a little confused by the sales person. Considering the Pure Evoque 5 door in Fuji White TD4 Auto with clear view pack The only additional option I want is Keyless entry as this proves very handy having this already on my existing car. The sales guy said that I cannot have keyless entry option without power fold mirrors. Also not available with the 8 speaker sound system. So power fold mirrors = $500 Upgrade the 8 speaker stereo.. appears only way is to add the tech pack = $4500 Add keyless entry = $1500 Does that mean I cannot get keyless entry for a Pure unless I fork out an extra $6,500 Keyless entry an expensive option for Pure? - Neo - 14-08-2012 07:33am That sounds suck! RE: Keyless entry an expensive option for Pure? - PhilSkill - 14-08-2012 09:22am The 325W or 825W options on the sound system are not related to Keyless Entry or Power fold mirrors so that doesn't make sense. You should be able to leave the sound system as standard. To have Keyless entry you must have the Power fold mirrors though. RE: Keyless entry an expensive option for Pure? - Puffy - 14-08-2012 09:44am Hi Phil - thanks for your response. I was hoping the same initially but I just checked on the specification it does match what the dealer is saying RE: Keyless entry an expensive option for Pure? - NightFox - 14-08-2012 09:49am (14-08-2012 09:44am)Puffy Wrote: Hi Phil - thanks for your response. That's crazy! I can understand LR sometimes making you have one unrelated expensive option if you want another one just to get more money out of you, but it's just mad when you can order those two options indpendently in other markets. Have you tried contacting LR to check it's not an error - it woudn't be the first time. RE: Keyless entry an expensive option for Pure? - PhilSkill - 14-08-2012 09:52am Strange one must be Aus Spec, as it's not like that on the UK online configurator, when you select Keyless it adds Power fold mirors, The Audio can be selected and deselected independently. As NightFox says worth contacting LR customer services as the dealers may not know if it's a mistake. RE: Keyless entry an expensive option for Pure? - Puffy - 14-08-2012 09:59am Nightfox, I so hope it is an error and the sales guy is relaying incorrect information. If you are saying keyless entry can be ordered without the upgraded stereo in other markets then I will definitely look into it more. The sales guy gave me the impression it was integrated somehow.... so glad I joined the forum. Keyless entry an expensive option for Pure? - Jai - 14-08-2012 10:57am Oz is a rort. Even on my dynamic the keyless upgrade was aud$1500 plus Lct tax of 30% (so $2k all up) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk RE: Keyless entry an expensive option for Pure? - Capital - 15-08-2012 12:45am (14-08-2012 10:57am)Jai Wrote: Oz is a rort. RE: Keyless entry an expensive option for Pure? - DefLeppard - 15-08-2012 11:02pm I ran into a similar issue when looking at electric seats, was told I had to get the powerfold mirrors as well. My dealer explained it was due to the electrical wiring setup, that there is one system of wiring up a car without these features and a second system with. Sounds like a load of BS to me. I still have the full price list/spec list - if anyone wants to look (it will be out of date soon with the new my13 coming) [attachment=2568] Keyless entry is the one thing i really wish i had got now - as I had it on my previous car (i am in and out of the car 10-20 times a day) |
