Winter Wheels for Evoque - LonnyGer - 01-08-2012 10:06am

Hi Folks,

as I orderd my Car 3 Weeks ago, I got the Information from my Dealer, that the Car will arrive most likely late Dezember 12, or maybe early 2013.

However the Car will be in need of Winter Wheels, according to freezing temperatures and propably snow in germany.

So the Car must be equipped with winter wheels, at the time im goin to catch it up at the dealer.

Do you have any Informations about the prize for a complete winter wheel set in 18 and 19" from Land Rover, i also take into consideration to buy wheels and alus from another brand, but they should have a good quality and good stats on snow and ice.

Thx for helpVery Happy

You can buy compete sets of wheels and tyres from anywhere, if buying from your dealer see what sort of discount they can do.

Search here for 235/55 R19 105H XL Winterreifen, and you'll get an idea of the price: http://www.reifendirekt.de/ OR http://www.reifen.com which does wheels & tyres.

The following tyres are all very good:
Pirelli Scorpion ICE + SNOW
Continental ContiCrossContact Winter
Michelin Latitude Alpin

Mine came in end of Jan on the pirelli all seasons, so I just used them for the rest of the winter and then got a good deal on Pirelli snow scorpion.... then got another set of rims and swapped the tires around... you can see some pics in here:

I am using the 17" rims off my Freelander 2, but you can also use Ford or Jaguar 17" rims with 5 x 108 PCD as they all fit. I think the 17/18/19" tyres are M&S rated (but no snow flake) and the 20" are definatley summer, my Michelins are NOT marked M&S and are most definately summer tyres ONLY.

I used ATU website to look at the TUV Gutschein for compatible wheels. Trust this helpsIdea

Bfgevoqueman, are you 100% sure that the freelander rims fit? I only ask because my dealer in BI wasn't/isn't sure.

Well the 17" rims went on a treat (see the photo attached below). I have heard from a couple of sources that you have to put 18" and above on cars with AD but I haven't been able to corroborate this. Will find out in March when my new Dynamic arrives....
