I think they are all personal preference, but for me I set them all to 0 (neutral). i.e. the way the artist/producer intended the music to sound.
The wife prefers the bass turned way up though.

I don't think adjusting any of these settings will make any real difference to the overall quality of the sound, it will just adjust the high and low levels.

Just start from neutral and go from there. Gradually adjust the base up and then the treble up, listening to the same piece of music each time and see what you think. Also use a track you love and use only that track while undertaking your adjustments.

I suggest to set surround sound in position "out" and treble/buss/sub in "max". As for me its MORE!!! better as putting surround sound in "Meridian or PLIIx or DTS 6"

I keep settings at 0 except for treble.. I have it at + 3.. I also disable the effects.. The Meridian..PLIIx and DTS..
although the Meridian brings more of a focus sound
I prefer the more spacious.. Open and airy sound by not selecting any of the settings..

I pay your attention that for each source of sound (radio, usb, ipod, bluetooth) can be fixed own settings of surround sound, exсept balance and treble/buss/sub settings. Divx video source can not be fixed with several modes of surround sound, here is Pllx the default
