There seems to be a massive difference between dealers. What did your dealer do for you to make your purchase experience memorable. Did you leave with a big smile or feeling like you'd just been bled dry?

Mine did nothing to make the experience memorable, in fact the main thing i will remember is the extreme penny pinching from the dealer which resulted in me in effect only getting 11 months tax on the car.

Mine has offered to put my private plate on for me, full tank of fuel, mudflaps and a first aid kit for good measure......... Looking Forward to handover ....... Smile

Nothing. Enough fuel to get to the gas station. I had ordered a rubber mat for the boot and I hinted it would be a nice "gift" but no...

Collected at end of the month....but didn't loose a months tax. Pretty posh 'Range Rover' folder that apparently holds the user manual. Not sure if they are all posh. LR experience in a lovely wallet. LR teddy bear for the bairn! The LR fleece on the bear might of actually fit him!

They also helped get my isofix base attached. All 'dealer enabled' options were sorted.

Nothing!
I had to hang around whilst the salesman found a working chip and pin machine and when he did the computer was down, so waited 30 mins or so before I could even pay!

I just wanted the keys and to be out as soon as possible.

Mine was great!!!

Had a private room for the car to be shown to us where we went over the whole car and what it does, the owner came and shake our hands and thanked us (for parting with our cash i guess Laughing ), got free mud flaps (ordered) and by accident got free surround cameras (did not order them Cool ), full fuel tank of diesel and to top it all off... a nice bottle of local red and a bunch of flowers for my wife Tongue Out !!!!

Very happy with my handover

Mine was extremely well engineered, we turned up about half an hour before the agreed time, the salesman Pete Hope, greeted with smiles, made us most welcome and organised a coffee and biscuits. Five minutes later we were sat at his desk completing the final paper work. He then escorted us to the vehicle which was located in a bright ,dry room, with my vehicle parked in the centre. We then spent the next hour or so going through the vehicle controls. We then had a short break for coffee and cakes, then back to the vehicle for the final briefing. Then with Pete in the car, we took to the road for a quick road test to the fuel station where they filled and paid for a full tank of fuel, back to the showroom and the signature for vehicle handover completed. The whole thing took over two hours, but was extremely useful and entertaining. In the boot they left a Range Rover umbrella, full LR Cleaning kit with micro fibre cloths, plus key rings, LR Adventure tickets, and a big box of LR90 spares, (I had ordered these spares a couple of days earlier). All these items were put into the boot whilst signing the vehicle handover form, so were unaware, until I went into the Spares Dept.
The following day was phoned by the dealership to ensure everything was satisfactory and to advise about the defects noted during the handover, which have now been sorted to my satisfaction, and did not detract or effect the normal use of the vehicle.
Overall was very impressed by the whole vehicle handover experience, and the cakes were lovely.

Nothing (even had to ask for a coffee!)

And, after all the trouble I had with my order, the sales managers promised 'we charge for half a tank but give you a full one' turned out to be £50 worth (and I had to push for that)

Between ordering and collection the dealer was taken over by another chain with a much better reputation, so hopefully they will pull them into shape (although I went there initially after a recommendation from here!)
