iPhone Sat Nav Audio Issue - FujiSan - 20-06-2012 01:07pm Not sure how this works, but someone else may have fixed this: I have a sat nav on the phone but not in the Evoque; I have the iPhone paired with the car and it all works fine. But... I can't seem to get any spoken sat nav prompts out of the phone, once it pairs with the car - the sat nav works OK, the phone audio still works OK on calls, but no sat-nav audio - either out of the phone or as far as I can see, out of the car audio system. Any clues? Anyone else come across this? RE: iPhone Sat Nav Audio Issue - Poke - 20-06-2012 03:25pm Did you check the audio option in your iPhone app. Sometimes settings change when plugged on a new device RE: iPhone Sat Nav Audio Issue - WB - 20-06-2012 04:56pm also check your iphone isn't muted iPhone Sat Nav Audio Issue - gibbyd - 20-06-2012 09:45pm Connect via Bluetooth on your audio and it wlll work. RE: iPhone Sat Nav Audio Issue - FujiSan - 20-06-2012 09:59pm Not sure if I get what you mean there, the phone is connected to the car via Bluetooth, at least for the phone part. Is there something else I'm missing? iPhone Sat Nav Audio Issue - gibbyd - 21-06-2012 12:25am (20-06-2012 09:59pm)FujiSan Wrote: Not sure if I get what you mean there, the phone is connected to the car via Bluetooth, at least for the phone part. Yes you must choose the Bluetooth connection on your I phone on the Audio/ music settings. RE: iPhone Sat Nav Audio Issue - FujiSan - 21-06-2012 08:17am Ahh... I'm off for a look see this morning then! Thanks for the tip. I'll report back. RE: iPhone Sat Nav Audio Issue - FujiSan - 22-06-2012 05:50pm OK. When the iPhone is actually streaming audio to the car, the iPhone satnav voice prompts come over OK - but only when streaming audio as well. If the car is tuned into either FM or DAB radio, nada. I guess this is beyond the system's capabilities - unless anyone knows any different? RE: iPhone Sat Nav Audio Issue - Poke - 22-06-2012 06:10pm Maybe the sound of the sat nav indication is too short to wake up the Bluetooth. I have this issue with a Bluetooth motocyle helmet. |
