How do you disable wiper after starting your engine? - elvinsiew - 19-05-2012 09:24am

Not sure if this is standard... Everytime i start my car.... both front and back windscreen wiper will wipe once, is that suppose to be a wiper status check? Can I disable this function, as my screen sometimes are really dirty... wiping it dry making it worst.

Thanks
E

Mine don't do that, even in 'auto' setting (although they do on my Merc. front wipers in auto).

Are the front ones set to 'auto'? Maybe cancelling that might help. I'm not aware that the rear wipers even have an auto function, so that is even more puzzling. Are you perhaps leaving them set to 'intermittent?

Mine don't move when I start it and I leave them in auto.

That's odd , maybe factory settings?

Mine do not do that, maybe a drop into the dealer to fix it up

Mine does this, can't find fix or setting any where to stop it happening.

Need to speak to your dealer - bet you'll be really happy the day it does it when the blade is iced fast to the screen!

I turn off the auto wiper prior starting my engine, it worked.
