Arrived today - Belvoirbloke - 18-05-2012 01:38pm

Collected this morning.
So far :
(Bearing in mind I’m coming from a 2011 Freelander)
Great :
Wow, the quality is wonderful inside.
So much quieter than outgoing car.
Power delivery is far better.
Much heavier steering, was way too light on FL.
Paddles great when the slightly moody auto box won’t change up.
Radio blue tooth is excellent, I usually listen to shuffle settings, so move up/down perfect from stalk.
Satnav huge improvement on FL.
Driving lights look wicked.
Pano makes it feel like a convertible.

Not so great :
Ride is much choppier than FL, so glad I didn’t choose 20”.
Wind noise from wing mirrors.
Outside chrome not too well aligned under window area.
Can this be adjusted does anyone know?

Overall, delighted !
Pics uploading now.

so pleased for you m8, you are familiar with the brand so know what its strengths and weaknesses are.

Have you got twin exhausts? Ha

thanks ... yes haven't we all got two, I wouldn’t describe them as twin though ?

Mine arrived with a TD4 exhaust - single! and a gapping hole in the bumper where the other pipe should have been! Laughing I noticed it after almost a week. (Posted details yesterday on another thread re exhaust types).

So I'm not the only one who's not keen on the standard ride! (And mine is on 19" wheels - makes me feel sea-sick sometimes).

I’m all about comfort so I like a very soft ride (LOL)
The new car’s ride is too hard really compared to the FL, but it so much else going on I’ll soon forget.
BTW , I visit parents a lot in Bessacarr, I’ll flash you if I see you.

In any other LR you have to plot your course around the corners, but in the Evoque it will steer like a hot hatch.
So a firmer ride you will get.
