Detailing - Rossy100 - 15-05-2012 04:00pm As my delivery date draws nearer...... I am starting to think about getting my car detailed when it arrives. I know very little about this, but the forum posts have been of great help. I have found a detailer not to far away (South Manchester) who has quoted me £145 for preparation (assuming paint work ok to start with) and application of Gtechniq C1 (I found this company on Gtechniq website). This is for exterior protection only...... Not sure I can justify additional expense of having interior done. Does this sound like a good price? Is there anything else I should be looking for. I know very little about this, but the forum posts have been of great help. Getting the interior protected , leather, carpet etc may be worthwhile - especially if u get a spillage. Have seen it first hand and works well. I got CQuartz detailing - others recommend Gtechniq. Personally sounds a good price. I paid €300 for all in - incl alloys, windows etc inside/out. There's also a load of info on the detailing link on the web site. RE: Detailing - xxxx5 - 15-05-2012 08:44pm (15-05-2012 04:00pm)Rossy100 Wrote: As my delivery date draws nearer...... Worth getting some references before they start the work on you pride and joy RE: Detailing - Evo-king - 15-05-2012 10:55pm Rossy. Had my car done almost immediately after collection. Very happy with the finished product. Work was done by a GTechniq authorised detailer. Was around the £400 mark, had the bodywork done, fortunate to have had mine treated with G Techniq Exo, the latest treatment, leather protection and alloys removed and protected as well. Paintwork is normally hand polished, but mine was machine polished. If you go to the GTechniq website. http://service.gtechniq.com/how-much/%C2%A0 It is the new car/Bronze Detail, Medium car. For my finished car see the link below. http://babyrr.com/forum/Thread-My-Santorini-after-a-2-day-visit-to-the-detailer Detailing - Rossy100 - 16-05-2012 05:24pm Thanks Evo I spoke to them earlier and they sound very knowledgable and were very helpful. To have the wheels and interior done also (all Gtechniq) will still be under £200. Basically they charge £95 for the labour and then only the product cost on top. I got their name from the Gtechniq website so assume that they are authorised. In case anyone else interested or has any experience of using them, they are called Shinearama (based in Altrincham, Cheshire). Looks like they also specialise in selling detailing products which could be useful! As I say, from looking at their website, twitter and speaking with them, I am pretty confident they will do a great job. RE: Detailing - Bodlyfunctions - 16-05-2012 10:25pm Check out Matthew at Off Your Marks too. He is based near Warrington. Did mine, and did a great job on it. He has done a few RRE's now. £250 the lot, and he will loan you a courtesy car while yours is being done as he needs minimum 8 hours to do the prep. Highly recommend |
