Look fine to me. Where did they come from?

RE: Side Steps - cjfp - 06-05-2012 04:54pm

Fleabay "evoque steps"

(no affiliation blah blah)

Look stunning can they take the weight of the step of my 19 stone passenger?

RE: Side Steps - cjfp - 06-05-2012 05:07pm

They certainly take my 'well toned' (yeah right) 13st 10.

Ah I've seen these ones on fleabay and wondered what they would look like fitted and I have to say they don't look bad at all. Is it just a couple of brackets and bolts to fit or do they have to be fixed with steel tappers?

In the underfloor of the evoque there are some holes - into these you insert bars that have a bolt attached - you then bolt on brackets and then fit the steps.

Overall Difficulty 2 / 5
PITA rating (whilst you're on your back dropping washers and nuts) 4 / 5
Time taken about 1.5 hrs
