papers - Cedric - 04-05-2012 03:55pm

The papers finally arrived at the dealer, one week later than the car. Being Friday, I will not get plates or insurance before Wednesday. Since I'm leaving for London the weekend after that, I'll leave it there and collect it on the 15th. On the upside, the insurance gets 100 euro cheaper since it's 2 days after my 40th birthday. I'm considered less of a risk apparently. On the downside, it's 2.5K. The dealer had it already covered up in the showroom, which I didn't know, else I would have made some pics without the plates on.

A bit stupid having to leave it 2 weeks at the dealer, but waiting for me is a red firenze TD4 prestige with white contrast roof.

I noticed a TD4 Dynamic at the dealer, which had twin exhausts. Maybe I should have gotten a dynamic as well, with the plus pack, as the main tipping point for me were the seats in the prestige.

Conclusion: excited!

No only once.
By the way Cedric, what was your last given delivery date? Didn't your car arrive before this?

So is it a life-time insurance, or a one-off payment for something else?Confused

RE: papers - Cedric - 04-05-2012 04:07pm

Yep, that is each year, at least if you want full coverage. The basic insurance is around 500, but I would like to protect my 'investment'.

Ouch, that's expensive!

No, it's insurance. Tax to put it in circulation (BIV) is 865 and around 460 annual road tax if I remember correctly.

Don't you have the Land Rover insurance available ?
For a full coverage it's 900 euros a year (regarding your history)
