Evoque Tuning/Remap/Chip - Neo - 27-04-2012 03:11pm

Was interested if anyone know in Australia (and specifically in Sydney) any companies that do tuning/remap/chip for the Evoque? Diesel or Petrol?

I'm interested in a tuning box for the Si4, so easily removed before servicing

Also found this Melbourne based firm offering "re-mapping"...

I might check them out for RRE options...

Hey i may sound silly but what does a "tuning/remap/chip" do exactly and is it worth doing for a Manual SD4 Dynamic???

RE: Evoque Tuning/Remap/Chip - QUEEVO - 10-05-2012 01:40pm

Essentially, provide more power by manipulating the fuel supply and timing. There are clearly ways of doing this that are better than others. I have found the most information from http://www.chipit.com.au/ . A "chip" is a device that works with and/or "tricks" the existing ECU, and a remap, tweaks the programing of the existing ECU...

A personal decision Kaiser. Generally speaking, there will be a 20-30% power gain. Traditionally used for towing or intense off-road. Others talk about a more even torque and less "flat spots" in the range...

I am interested in a "re-tuning" option, as I will have the TD4 Prestige, which I know can deliver more that the factory mapped settings...
