Range Rover Evoque Si4 vs. BMW X3 20i vs. Audi Q5 2.0TFSI Test Wheels Mag April 2012 - sethor - 20-03-2012 04:54pm Picked up the latest Wheels mag today there is a 2.0L petrol turbo four SUV battle between Range Rover Evoque Si4 vs. BMW X3 20i vs. Audi Q5 2.0TFSI. I won't spoil the review for anyone yet. Surprisingly Land Rover has been fairly conservative with the 0-100km/h times, Wheels mag managing to get 7 seconds flat. I got excited seeing the subject secretly hoping you would scan some pages so I wouldn't have to go buy a copy. Evoque's a regular now in wheels mag, Oct 2011, Jan 2012, and April 2012 RE: Range Rover Evoque Si4 vs. BMW X3 20i vs. Audi Q5 2.0TFSI Test Wheels Mag April 2012 - DefLeppard - 21-03-2012 09:19pm (21-03-2012 02:09pm)Bomberboy Wrote: I got excited seeing the subject secretly hoping you would scan some pages so I wouldn't have to go buy a copy. +1 RE: Range Rover Evoque Si4 vs. BMW X3 20i vs. Audi Q5 2.0TFSI Test Wheels Mag April 2012 - barks - 21-03-2012 10:32pm Great review, but why cant LR supply a 4 door with sensible options so it competes on price too...$100k vs $70k opposition...the Evoque looks ridicuously overpriced. Also note that in the Spec panel at the end the Evoque has a 7 speed auto..????? RE: Range Rover Evoque Si4 vs. BMW X3 20i vs. Audi Q5 2.0TFSI Test Wheels Mag April 2012 - sethor - 22-03-2012 03:42am I don't think it was a very indepth test, could have been better. But the test evoque being fully loaded or not I doubt would have affected the test outcome, Features like Nav, dual view, Dyn plus pack, elec tailgate etc was never mentoned in the test. The review also says that LR offer 4 engines - 3 diesel and 1 petrol. I know that only really car nerds care about that sort of thing, but in a car magazine you expect them to get things like that right. I agree on the "over-speccing". I almost didn't look at an Evoque because all the press coverage I had seen gave the impression that it would cost about $80K + to get a "decent" Evoque on the road. I am glad I looked into it a bit more RE: Range Rover Evoque Si4 vs. BMW X3 20i vs. Audi Q5 2.0TFSI Test Wheels Mag April 2012 - chiggy - 22-03-2012 04:32am (22-03-2012 04:07am)TiTan Wrote: The review also says that LR offer 4 engines - 3 diesel and 1 petrol. I know that only really car nerds care about that sort of thing, but in a car magazine you expect them to get things like that right. They do offer 3 diesel engines - the eD4, TD4 and SD4. The difference between the eD4 and TD4 is that eD4 is obviously 2WD - but has lower torque (as expected) than the TD4. Effectively, from what I know, they are the same engine - just tuned differently for different performance, just offered as 3 different engine variants. RE: Range Rover Evoque Si4 vs. BMW X3 20i vs. Audi Q5 2.0TFSI Test Wheels Mag April 2012 - TiTan - 22-03-2012 04:57am My bad - I thought the eD4 engine and TD4 were the same. I guess I owe Wheels an apology They are still wrong on the gearbox though RE: Range Rover Evoque Si4 vs. BMW X3 20i vs. Audi Q5 2.0TFSI Test Wheels Mag April 2012 - Barneyridge - 22-03-2012 06:41am got a copy last night but did not get a chance to read it. Looks like they did a bit of off road action |
