Instrument dials moving with ignition on - dandavis1 - 05-02-2012 01:04am My understanding is that if the needles go all the way up and drop down again, the car is all good. If they go so far and then drop back, the point at which they stop is a way of the car warning you of something. Is that the case in the Evoque? If not, why do the needles move when the engine starts? RE: Instrument dials moving with ignition on - vinda - 05-02-2012 01:42am I thought it was just a gimmick RE: Instrument dials moving with ignition on - slee18 - 05-02-2012 02:11am Most cars do that sweep movement either ignition on or when the starter cranks. Never had it tell me something wrong though when it sweeps but never had sweep and stop before the end of the dial RE: Instrument dials moving with ignition on - sethor - 05-02-2012 04:12am Its just for show, if something is wrong the check engine light will flash an error code. |
