Servicing your RRE - Share your experiences here! - ytshome - 26-01-2012 10:33pm

With some of us having had our cars for a number of months now I can imagine that some out there will have had or will be contemplating their first Evoque service.

With this in mind I thought it would useful to have a thread that we could use to share our experiences regarding costs, service plans and rate the actual performance of the dealer carrying out the maintenance check.

My own car has done a little over 4k so my service is some way off yet but I'm sure there are people out there who must be very near. Anything useful to the forum members would be good!

My evoque is no where near servicing yet but will be taking out a service Plan as I have done with my other cars. Not sure of the cost as I have money in the pot from the last car and whoever creates the system has forgot to put TD4 on it. Will be getting serviced by the supplying dealer (Stratstone Cupar) who have always done an excellent job on my previous land rovers, so hopefully the evoque will be no different.

I took out the dealers service plan. Fixed costing for 3 years @£41.00(X32) a month. Works out cheaper than paying for each service.
I do only get one service a year, but as my Evoque will only be doing 4k a year, that's fine for me.

Hi is that for 36 months at £42.00, because it's not cheap if that's the case?

No not cheap, but cheaper than paying for each service.
Service costs around £500.00. But in year 2 & 3, when the dealer costs go up ( there having a hard time, so prices will rise quite a lot) mine will stay the same.

And yes £500.00 is a lot for a service, but the cost is the middle of a Freelander & RRS.

Interesting the dealer never offered me a servicing plan Sad

Stratstone, my supplying dealer sent out a service offer of £27 per month for 31 months on what I suppose from the very vague literature is for a two year service plan. Works out at a little under £420 a service but that still seems a bit steep to me for a 2.2 four pot engine. It may even be a three year deal but I'll have to ring them to clarify.

I've just taken out a 3yr service plan on my SD4 Pure at £30 x 30 months with Stratstone Newcastle

Exactly the same as Wicksy at Stratstone Newcastle, at least they are consistent with the cost.
