Hi, I got my new Evoque Pure and have had it for less than one month now.
Yesterday I was arriving at home and the computer was warning me the hood was open. I stopped the car and checked for it but it was closed. So I opened it and closed it. But it kept telling me it was open. I open and closed it several times, so I gave up. The main problem was when I closed the doors and found out I couldn't lock the car! This stinks because I can't leave my house with the car and leave it unlocked.
Anyone experienced the same problems? Any suggestions? Thanks!

Yes,
I had the same problem after looking under the battery cover. No matter how I tried to close the hood, the warning light stayed on.
Only after refitting the battery cover did It fix it's self.
With the hood closed, try pulling up on the front right hand side, if there is more movement than the left. Have a look at all these plastic covers

This happened to me today. The hood seems to lock on both sides and not in the middle. So it may seem closed but it isn't. Try pushing it down on both sides...

Yes it needs a good slam while you push down,i filled up the washer bottle and it took two attempts to fix the issue.

Same with me, twice I have had the hood up and I have had to give it a good slam or it doesn't catch on both sides on both occasions.

Same here, hood light came up right after we left the showroom with a new car... so kept driving for a week or so with locking unlocking done using the manual key hidden inside the fob.. ended up with having a loose key hole cover on the door handle... finally found out to have a defective switch -replaced and its working fine now... scared to open the hood now.. .... sounds like another dollar store made-in-china proud product.
