Parking issue on Manual Gear transmission - roparoib - 14-01-2012 10:08am Hello guys, I'm new on this forum! I'm Lorenzo and I'm from Italy! I've ordered a RRE and I'm waiting for her.. In the mean time I'm following an italian forum like this (http://evoque.it) and lots of users are writing about a problem that happens during a parking session using a RRE with a manual shift. In a few words when you steer to do a parking, set the reverse motion and leave your foot from the clutch pedal you hear a very bad noise coming from the bottom of the vehicle. It sounds like a little crash with something on the ground. Anyone of you have had an experience like this?? Please let me know..I'm in time to change my order and choose an automatic gear... It seems that every italian ppl that have manual gear are getting this issue.. Thanks in advance for your reply and sorry for my english! Lorenzo RE: Parking issue on Manual Gear transmission - msalido - 14-01-2012 10:31am Yes, I have this problem. My dealer told me that some unit have the same problem. He told me that it is due to the traction control. It could be repaired with an updated software. It usually happen when the tires are turning and you left the clutch pedal. I'm asking this cause we have some cases where after 5k km this issue faded out... Bye Lorenzo and...another thiny...did he tell you when you can apply this software update? Thanks! Lorenzo RE: Parking issue on Manual Gear transmission - msalido - 14-01-2012 10:43am My car has 2500km, but the problem appears since the first day. RE: Parking issue on Manual Gear transmission - roparoib - 14-01-2012 11:02am yes..is the same for my friends... RE: Parking issue on Manual Gear transmission - PhilSkill - 14-01-2012 06:03pm I reverse in my drive with a 90deg almost full lock turn every morning, never heard any noise, now 1800 miles. RE: Parking issue on Manual Gear transmission - evofan - 16-01-2012 01:56am We have the same problem infrequent since 3000 km. It sounds very bad if it happens. After the crashing sound the car inhibits for some seconds. really weird. Our dealer has no solution, because we are not able to reproduce it on site of the garage and there also is no error message in the display. Can anybody reproduce the problem with a certain procedure? Please keep this forum informed, when there is a solution. After the crashing sound the car inhibits for some seconds. really weird. I feel this defect since the day I took the car, the defect is not easy to explain but I'll try, I can make him feel good. Then try to do different maneuvers back and forth on the front and reverse swerving first one way then the other, try not to accelerate but only to let the clutch up, after some testing I think you will be able to hear my mechanic felt the land problem, but for now they have no solution |
