Damaged shadow chrome alloy help!!! - GinaS - 12-01-2012 08:20pm Due to an unseen sunken drain as I went round a bend I've damaged my passenger side alloy wheel. So annoying. A local alloy specialist was recommended to me by Stratstone and he says he can't colour match the shadow chrome as it's a new colour!!! My only other option - buy a new one for £435 plus vat (inc fitting). I know it's early days but has anyone come across this yet? ![]() RE: Damaged shadow chrome alloy help!!! - RacingSnake - 12-01-2012 08:46pm Put a claim into the council. RE: Damaged shadow chrome alloy help!!! - PhilSkill - 12-01-2012 11:21pm Yep councils do payout for this kind of damage, get pics of the drain if you can too, with a ruler in/near to gauge the size. RE: Damaged shadow chrome alloy help!!! - tash - 12-01-2012 11:24pm Romax in Stockton will colour match or try wheel wizard, think guy lives in Durham hes really good but only sprays face of wheel, romax dip and refurbish RE: Damaged shadow chrome alloy help!!! - PhilB - 13-01-2012 05:56am If the council get snotty about the claim, have a look on one of the websites that Joe Public can use to notify them about problems. Fixmystreet here: http://www.fixmystreet.com is one, put in the location of the pothole and it will show if someone has already notified them and when. If they have been told and done nothing it will help your claim greatly.
